Bruce Came Back

I am lucky to have a fantastic boyfriend that took me to see Springsteen at the Comcast Center on Saturday night. As I'm sure you all know, or read about back in April, I'm a Bruce fanatic and it only helps that N is too. It was my first time seeing him play at an outdoor venue and it was perfect. We tailgated a bit before the show and a nice breeze helped break the summer heat.

As always, the band was awesome and the man himself couldn't have looked better. The highlights for me were: Trapped (a new favorite), She's the One (a forever favorite) and the most beautiful love song EVER, If I Should Fall Behind.

Bruce kept the energy up with a set list that really rocked the house.

Jackson Cage
She's the One
Working on the Highway
Hungry Heart
Outlaw Pete
Badlands
Working on a Dream
Seeds
Johnny 99
Point Blank
Raise Your Hand
Burning Love
For You
Trapped
Waiting on a Sunny Day
The Promised Land
If I Should Fall Behind
Backstreets
Lonesome Day
The Rising
Born to Run
Rosalita
Detroit Medley

Hard Times (Jay Weinberg made his appearance for the encore which was stellar)
American Land
Dancing in the Dark
Born in the USA
Twist & Shout

Much different from his original list, and that much better. The show is always magical and the boys never disappoint.

Family Affair

My cousin, one of my closest friends and my parter-in-crime as a child, got married last weekend (I wrote about his engagement last August). He was the first grandchild to get married and it was a really special day for the whole family. His bride and I have become friends over the years and I was honored to be included in their celebration as one of her bridesmaids.

They made a beautiful couple and the smile on my cousin's face at the altar said it all, he couldn't love her more. I wish them a lifetime of happiness and we're happy to welcome the lovely lady into our family.

Weddings and Babies Galore?

Is it just me or is everyone getting engaged, getting married or popping out kids? My news feed on Facebook is cluttered with congratulatory wall posts and countless albums of wedding ceremonies and new babies - one person, who will remain nameless, jumped right over the TMI line and announced her pregnancy to the world by taking a picture of her pregnancy test and using it as her default picture. Wow. You legit peed on that stick! But who's to say, maybe I'll be that baby crazy one day.

I'm a HUGE fan of both - weddings and babies - and I can't wait to experience both. But tell me, are they both suddenly on steriods?

N and I have two weddings this weekend and they just keep on coming. We'll be busy, but they're always an awesome time. Pictures to come.
