Online Shopping

I'm not much of an online shopper because I simply love going the mall. I like trying things on, feeling the quality of different fabrics and checking out what other people pick up that I might like too.

Jewelry shopping is a totally different story. There is no real need to "try on" jewelry, so that's why I'm all about ordering a few pieces off the site, Stella & Dot. So many beautiful options, but here are a few faves:

From the looks of it, it's safe to say I'm on a gold jewelry kick. My birthday is around the corner and I'd love any or all of the above :)

I'm not totally opposed to online shopping because I bought a Michael Kors down coat on Rue La La this morning - when there's a sale, there's a sale!

Photog 101

To learn more about my new camera and how to take artsy pictures that I can post on Facebook (aka show off on Facebook) and share with family and friends, I signed up for a photography class at a local high school. In six sessions, I'm supposed to learn "some technical aspects and some basic photographic compositional methods." By the sounds of it, maybe I should've steered clear of the beyond beginner class.

How much fun is this picture!? Maybe I'll learn to take something like this. I'll be sure to document my progress.

J.Crew Love

So once again, J.Crew has exceeded my expectations. I never check out the shoe selection when I'm in the store because I'm usually overwhelmed by the clothes and jewelry. HOWEVER, today I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the fall shoes (these, these and these) displayed in the front of the store.

Um hello...

I love you, I want you, but I can't afford you. Fingers crossed they go on sale.

Wedding Bliss

This weekend, I had the privilege of being a bridesmaid in my best friend's wedding. Let me just tell you, she was absolutely stunning. So stunning that I cried several times throughout the night because she looked that beautiful (or maybe it was because I had one too many glasses of wine during the cocktail hour, who knows). I have never seen her look so happy and I couldn't have been more thrilled to watch her marry the man of her dreams. From the gorgeous venue to the delicious food - including a make-your-own sundae bar (my personal highlight) - the night was flawless.

Love you, girl friend, he is one lucky guy!

Springstreets

I just came across the most amazing gift for N. I saw it and I had to have it, I mean, he should have it. As most of our friends and family know, we are both huge Springsteen fans. Through Twitter, I learned about New York graphic designer, Dan Cassaro, and his recently released map of New Jersey. This is not just any map of Jersey. On this map, called Springstreets, all the streets, buildings, parks, etc. are named after lyrics from Springsteen songs.

Check it out!

Amazing, huh? I'm going to frame it for N, so one day we can hang it in our future "man cave" in our future house :)

Say Cheese!

Last night, N surprised me with the most beautiful, hi-tech camera I've ever seen. It's a Canon EOS Rebel T1i:

Amazing right? I've been talking about getting a fancy camera FOREVER and taking a photography class. Well, I now have no excuses. Please post comments if you can recommend a really awesome photography class in the Boston area. In the meantime, I'll be snapping shots like a mad woman!

Oh, and did I mention I have the best boyfriend in the whole world!?

Karma

One of my fave girlfriends was wearing the Dogeared Karma necklace when I saw her recently and I knew right away I had to have it. I ordered it that very night. It's a simple, elegant piece that is perfect to wear every day. Believe me, I've been wearing mine every day since it came in the mail!

I particularly enjoyed the sweet message that came with the necklace:

what goes around comes around...
wear your necklace as a reminder to keep
the circle positive, peaceful and loving

Thank you, Dogeared, I will be back for more!
